Happy Tails progress
In November 2007, we found the perfect location for Happy Tails. This beautiful barn was our first choice for our building. Unfortunately time had taken its toll on the barn and we were forced to give up this idea.
March 2008Pioneer Millworks began taking the barn down to be recycled. It was sad to see it go. They removed an eighteen wheeler full of wood that will be recycled into flooring and wall paneling. Some of it may be destined for a Bass Pro Shop. They also took the hand hewn timbers.

Our building is starting to take shape. It's very exciting.

We're making progress. The walls are all in, it's being wired and the plumbing is done. The siding and roof go on tomorrow.
We kept enough timbers from the barn so that we could build a miniature version to use for storage. We have found some rough sawn board & batten siding and will use two of the doors from the barn.
The East Corning Fire Department did an exercise and burned what was left . They appreciated the opportunity to use this controlled burn to practice their skills and teach new members.
